Overview
The project’s objective was to build the mobile experience around SigFig’s Intelligent investment portfolios and personalized investment guidance to help customers make quick transactions. This allowed designing a mobile application and enhanced the customers’ experience of completing transactions. For example, starting from the login experience, check account details, make payments, and transfer funds from a smartphone.
My Role
I led the design of the trading experience and collaborated with two other designers on the Home screen, dashboard, and trading features. In addition, I worked alongside a Researcher, a Content Strategist, and a Product Manager.
Role – Sr UX Designer
Methods Followed – Survey, Interviews, Competitive Analysis, Mind Maps, Sketch & Adobe XD/Suite
Practices – Design Thinking, User Research, UX & UI Design
The challenge
Understand the existing Wealth Management web application and limited functionality, customers’ usage patterns to design a user-friendly secured mobile responsive application.
Design Process
Design a mobile application in small flows and processes. Made functionality easy for customers to make financial transactions. Interactions on each page of the mobile experience will be designed precisely, which is self-explanatory.
New Focus, New Navigation
By mapping out the entire content inventory of the app, I identified some critical problems with the existing information architecture. With the project goals in mind, I decided the first step was to redefine the architecture and start fresh. The result was five main categories represented in the navigation: Overview, Tracker, Deposit, Advisor, and Settings.
